Yogurt
Also known as: Yoghurt
A cultured dairy product; halal, but check for added gelatin in some brands.
Why?
Yogurt is milk fermented with live bacterial cultures, and plain yogurt is halal. Some thickened or low-fat yogurt varieties add gelatin or other stabilizers for texture, in which case the halal status of that specific stabilizer applies — check the ingredient list on flavored or 'Greek-style' yogurts.
