Sugar

Refined cane or beet sugar; halal.

Why?

Sugar is extracted and refined from sugar cane or sugar beets through a purely mechanical and chemical process. It is halal by consensus; historical concerns about bone-char filtration in refining are specific to certain older cane-sugar refining methods and do not affect the sugar itself, which contains no bone-char residue in the final product.
