Why?

Pepsin is a digestive enzyme used in some cheese and processed meat production, most often extracted from pig or cattle stomach linings. Pig-derived pepsin is haram; cattle-derived pepsin is halal only if the animal was slaughtered according to Islamic law.

Less commonly disclosed on consumer packaging than rennet.
