Pepperoni

Traditionally made from pork or a pork/beef blend; halal only if beef pepperoni from halal-slaughtered meat.

Why?

Pepperoni is a cured sausage traditionally made from pork, or a pork-and-beef blend, seasoned with paprika and chili. It is haram if it contains pork, and halal only if made entirely from beef (or another halal meat) that was slaughtered according to Islamic law. Many halal-certified 'beef pepperoni' products exist specifically to address this — check the label.
