Maltodextrin

A starch-derived thickener/filler, usually from corn; halal.

Why?

Maltodextrin is a partially broken-down starch, most commonly derived from corn, rice, potato, or wheat, used as a thickener, filler, or carrier in many processed foods. It is generally considered halal, as the enzymes used to break down the starch are typically produced by fermentation from non-animal sources.
