Polysorbate 60

Also known as: Polysorbate 65, Polysorbate 80

Mushbooh (Doubtful)

An emulsifier made from fatty acids that can be plant or animal sourced.

Why?

Polysorbates (E432-E436) are emulsifiers made by combining sorbitol with fatty acids. The fatty acid component can be derived from either plant oils or animal fat, and this is rarely specified on packaging, so the halal status depends on an unstated source — treated as doubtful by default unless the manufacturer confirms a plant source.
