Casein

A milk protein used as a food additive; halal.

Why?

Casein and its salts (sodium or calcium caseinate) are proteins extracted from milk, commonly used as emulsifiers or protein additives. Unlike cheese, their production doesn't involve rennet or animal slaughter, so they are considered halal like other plain dairy products.
